Fourteen Older Stallions Get Final Approval at 2022 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing

Fourteen older stallions have received a final approval for breeding at the 2022 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning on 10 March 2022. 

The Danish Warmblood Society requires 4-year old and older stallions that have completed the performance test to re-appear in front of the licensing committee for a final approval to get a life-time breeding licence. 

All 14 participating "older" stallions were accepted. On Sunday 13 March Be Sure (by Benicio x Scuderia) was named champion.

The 11 4-year old stallions that were accepted are:

  • Be Sure (by Benicio / Scuderia), bred in Germany and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
  • Bonjour (by Bon Coeur / Fürst Nymphenburg), bred in Germany and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
  • Hesselhoej Donkey Boss (by Hesselhøj Donkey Boy / Blue Hors Zack), bred and owned by Hesselhoej
  • Straight Horse Finest Hour (by Franklin / Blue Hors Zack), bred by Straight Horse and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
  • For Real (by Blue Hors Farrell / Lord Loxley), bred in Germany and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
  • Fortunate (by Foundation / Quaterback), bred in Germany and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
  • Franzé (by Franklin / Sezuan), bred by HH Horses and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
  • Hallifax Lyng (by Schwarzgold / Aston Martin), bred and owned by Anne Lyngbye Melsen
  • MSJ Q (by Quantensprung / Bordeaux), bred in England and owned by HP Horses
  • Rosebank VH (by Revolution / Dalwhinnie), bred in Sweden and owned by Helgstrand Dressage and Västra Hoby
  • Zanetti (by Zoom / Fürst Romancier), bred in Germany and manufacownedtured by Helgstrand Dressage

The 3 older stallions accepted are:

  • Blue Hors Monte Carlo TC (by Dream Boy / United), born in the Netherlands and owned by Blue Hors, Van Uytert, Nico Witte and Tim Coomans
  • Blue Hors Santiano (by Sezuan / Blue Hors Romanov), bred by Straight Horse and owned by Blue Hors 
  • Vitalos (by Vitalis / De Niro), bred in Germany and owned by Helgstrand Dressage
