Agnete Kirk Thinggaard has sold her number one Grand Prix horse, Blue Hors Zatchmo, to an international dressage rider.

Zatchmo is a 13-year old Oldenburg stallion by Blue Hors Zack out of Fiesta's Girl (by Donnerhall x Pik Bube I). He is bred by the late Inge Bastian in Germany.

Allan Grøn

Zatchmo has been owned by Blue Hors since he was a yearling. He is licensed for breeding for Danish and Swedish warmblood, but had been focused more on sport than reproduction.

The bay stallion was first trained and competed by Allan Grøn, who made his national show debut as a 4-year old in 2013.  The pair finished 12th at the 2013 Danish Young Horse Championships and 10th at the 2015 Danish Young Horse Championships.

In 2016 they moved up to M-level and by 2017 they reached Prix St Georges. Zatchmo's international show debut was at small tour level at the 2017 CDI Herning, followed by the CDI Hagen and Uggerhalnde.

In 2018 Agnete Kirk Thinggaard, the daughter of Blue Hors stud owner Kjell Kirk Kristiansen, took over the ride on Zatchmo.

She first campaigned him at small tour level and by the autumn of 2019 had their international Grand Prix debut in Herning.

Agnete and Zatchmo
Agnete and Zatchmo found their groove at the 2020 Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, where they posted no less than 8 top 5 placings in the big tour classes.

Nanna Skodborg Merrald

Thinggaard returned home to Denmark from Wellington and disappeared from the show scene. In May 2021 she confirmed to Eurodressage that she  is taking a sabbatical from riding to dedicate more time to her family.

Zatchmo was allocated to Nanna Skodborg Merrald, who premiered him at the 2022 CDI Le Mans with a double victory. A month later the pair posted 75.826% in the Grand Prix at the CDI Herning.

Blue Hors  announced that Zatchmo has been sold to "an international Grand Prix rider".

"Now we are ready to pass on all the good riding experiences we have had with Zatchmo to his new owner, who is an international dressage rider," Blue Hors stated. "We wish the new owner of Blue Hors Zatchmo a big congratulations on the purchase of this beautiful dressage horse!"
