American FEI dressage rider Jennifer Huber has expanded her string of horses with another significant buy, former French team horse Vistoso de Massa.  This is the third horse from a high profile stable which Huber has bought in six months time, after Shakira and Haute Couture

Vistoso de Massa is a 13-year old Lusitano by Maestro JGB x Xaquiro, bred by his previous owner Sylvain Massa.

The grey has been trained from novice to Grand Prix level by the French couple Arnaud and Anne-Sophie Serre.

He first won silver at the 2016 French Championships for 7-Year olds and in 2017 made its CDI show debut at medium tour level in Nice. In May 2017 he moved up the Grand Prix level at Compiegne.

Anne-Sophie campaigned Vistoso internationally from 2017 till 2019 and in 2020 husband Arnaud took over the ride with the Tokyo Olympics as target. However after the 2021 CDI Compiegne and Le Mans the pair did not make the cut for the team.

Massa sent Vistoso to Denmark to be sold in January 2022 and Jennifer Huber has now acquired the grey Lusitano. Dressprod first announced the sale.

"Vistoso is now in my barn and I’m enjoying getting to know him. He is such a lovely boy, and so much fun to ride," Huber told Eurodressage. "We call him Marshmallow."

While Vistoso will be for Jennifer to ride, her other two purchases - Shakira and Haute Couture - are currently ridden by her trainer, 2010 U.S. WEG team rider Katherine Bateson-Chandler.

"Haute Couture and Shakira are both amazing," said Jennifer. "Katherine has a great connection with them both and training is progressing well. She plans on taking both to UK to train with Carl Hester this summer and compete in UK and Europe. I’m feeling very fortunate to have acquired these three wonderful horses."
