Rising Canadian Grand Prix rider Ariana Chia has welcomed an exciting addition to her stable in the 3-year old My Fair Lady, a daughter of former Danish team horse My Lady, internationally competed by Mikala Munter.
My Fair Lady is by Franklin out of Danish warmblood mare My Lady (by Michellino x Ritterstern) and bred by Janne Rumbough in Florida, U.S.A.
Hopeful for Canada
Janne Rumbough sold the talented bay filly to Pamela Wildman, who has given the ride to Canadian rising star Ariana Chia.
The 30-year old Chia has been based at Rumbough's MTICA farm in Wellington, Florida, for the winter show season and made an impression on the international show scene this year with her lovely, elegant riding aboard Fiderflame (by Fidertanz x Abanos) which she acquired as a 6-month foal and developed from novice to Grand Prix level.
Rumbough, who is the doyenne of dressage in Florida, is thrilled with the sale of her filly to Wildman. She will staying closely connected to the development of snazzy young filly out of her prized mare My Lady.
My Lady Progeny
Janne acquired the dam, My Lady, in Denmark in 2011.
My Lady went on to compete for Denmark at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen (FRA), the 2015 European Dressage Championships in Aachen (GER), and at the 2014 and 2015 World Cup Finals in Lyon (FRA) and Las Vegas (USA). She was short listed for the 2016 Olympic Games and retired from competition sport in 2017.
My Lady enjoyed a blessed retirement to the field as a broodmare until her passing in 2019. She produced a colt, My Valentino (by Vitalis) and filly My Fair Lady (by Franklin).
