Canadian Grand Prix dressage rider and investor Vicki Lavoie of Nexolia stable has bought her second price highlight at the 2022 Verden Online Foal Auction. This time Sir Colorful.
Lavoie, who used to shop at the Helgstrand foal auctions, now seems to have shifted her attention to the auctions hosted by the Hanoverian breeding society. After purchasing Status Quo II in May, she has now added Sir Colorful (by Shu Fu x De Niro) to her collection. The chesnut colt; bred by Holger Dierks, sold for 21,500 euro.
The fourth online auction of the 2022 Verden Foal Spring concluded on 9 June 2022. The average price for a foal in this auction was 8,146 euro.
The second most expensive foal was colt Bon London (by Bon Courage x Londonderry), who stays in Germany for 17,000 euro.
Thai customers bought Valeo II (by Vitalis x Furstenball) for 15,000 euro, while Hungarians secured the show jumping bred Haily (by Hardrock Z x Vigo d'Arsouilles) for 13,500 euro.
The colt Dissertation (by Dynamic Dream x Sandro Hit) sold to Italy for 13,000 euro, while Spaniards bought Bronx (by Bonds x Foundation) for 9,750 euro.
Del Estero (by Donier x Furstenball) moves to Belgium for 8,750 euro, and Dornroschen (by De Niro Gold x San Amour) to Argentina for 7,000 euro.
Overall, the international interest was very high. Sixteen of the 29 foals will move abroad. Three foals were auctioned to Belgium, two each to Argentina and Hungary.
The last online auction of the Verden Foal Spring will take place on Thursday 23 June 2022.
