The Danish equestrian federation has announced the team that will represent Denmark at the 2022 World Championships Dressage in Herning on 6 - 11 August 2022.
The stakes are high as Denmark will be competing on home soil and has never stood in a stronger position for team and individual gold with a team led by 2022 CDIO Aachen grand champion Catherine Dufour.

In a press release, the DRF suggested that the selection was made by Denmark's elite sport chef Anne-Mette Binder and the "consistent expert coach" Wolfram Wittig.
The German trainer Wittig is not the official team trainer by stipulation of the DRF who decided in the autumn of 2021 to end their contract with team coach Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein and use an "expert trainer" as of 2022 as the senior dressage riders no longer needed a team trainer. Remarkably, all other Olympic disciplines in Denmark from youth level to the top have Danish team trainers (show jumping, youth dressage, and para dressage), but not the senior dressage team.

Binder and Wittig were present in Aachen where the last Danish team selection trial took place. They made their pick for Herning
- Cathrine Dufour - Bohemian or Vamos Amigos
- Carina Cassøe Krüth - Heiline’s Danciera
- Daniel Bachmann Andersen - Marshall-Bell
- Nanna Merrald Rasmussen - Blue Hors Zack
The reserve riders are
- Andreas Helgstrand - Jovian or Queenparks Wendy
- Lone Bang Larsen - Thranegaardens Rostov
Boot Camp
Dufour will get to choose her horse herself based on fitness and training level right before the definite entry deadline. The Danish team will go into bootcamp at Blue hors on 23 24 July before heading to Herning.
