The internationally competed Grand Prix horse Amplemento has been sold to Austria. The 11-year old gelding has joined Olympian Christian Schumach's barn.

Amplemento is a Baden Wurttemberger bred gelding by Ampere out of Sunshine Lady (by Sir Oldenburg x Carprilli). He is bred by Willy Waidelich.

Sweden

Amplemento was first trained by Benjamin and Anna Mitter in Germany before he sold to Sweden.

Acquired by Bjarke Laustsen and Patricia Florin, he was first competed as a 4-year old by Jacob Nörby Sörensen. The pair finished 15th at the 2015 Danish Young Horse Championships in the 4-year old division and 7th at the 2015 Swedish Young Horse Championships. A year later they were fourth in the 5-year old consolation finals at the 2016 Danish Young Horse Championships. Sorensen competed the bay gelding through the young horse levels until 2018 when the gelding was 7.

In August 2018 Amplemento sold to the company La Pomme HB of the Swedish Ramel family and came in training with Patrik Kittel. He first showed the horse at the CDN in Ankum in November 2019 at Intermediaire II level and presented him through 2020 at national level.

In 2021 Malin Wahlkamp-Nilsson took over the ride and made her international show debut at Grand Prix at the CDI Grote Brogel in Belgium in May 2021; She also showed him in Herzlake, Sint-Truiden, Aachen and Randbol that year and won bronze at the 2021 Swedish Grand Prix Championships. The pair's last international start was the CDI Lier in March 2022. At national level he competed last at the CDN Munster Turnier der Sieger in August.

Austria

Amplemento has now been sold to a client of Christian Schumach.

"It is planned that I'll compete Amplemento in the future in agreement with his new owner," Schumach told Eurodressage. "At the moment we have no detailed plans. We'll see what the future will bring."
