German Grand Prix Squads for 2023 Announced

The dressage selection committee of the German Olympic Equestrian Federation (DOKR) has announced the Grand prix level squads for 2023. 

The German equestrian federation posted the updated squads on its website. 

The competition highlight of 2023 will be the European Dressage Championships to be held in Riesenbeck (GER) the first week of September. 

Interesting observations to be made are the absence of horses Tarantino (Carina Scholz) and Showtime (Dorothee Schneider) and U25 rider Semmieke Rothenberger, who hasn't competed Flanell internationally since May 2022.

The squads for 2023 are:

A-Team - Olympic Squad

  • Jessica von Bredow-Werndl - TSF Dalera BB and Ferdinand BB
  • Ingrid Klimke - Franziskus FRH
  • Frederic Wandres - Duke of Britain FRH and Bluetooth OLD
  • Benjamin Werndl - Daily Mirror and Famoso OLD
  • Isabell Werth  - Emilio, Quantaz and Superb

B-Team - Perspective Squad

  • Helen Langehanenberg - Annabelle
  • Matthias Rath - Destacado FRH and Thiago GS
  • Dorothee Schneider - Faustus and First Romance
  • Carina Scholz  - Soiree d’Amour OLD

Under 25 Squad - Perspective Squad 

  • Helen Erbe  - Carlos FRH
  • Paulina Holzknecht  -  Entertainer Win T
  • Joana Peterka  - Davidoff ter Kwincke
