German Squad Pony Cosmo Royale Moves to Denmark

German pony squad rider Sophie Duen sees her pony Cosmo Royale move to Denmark as she has reached the age limit and made the transition onto horses.

Cosmo Royale is a 9-year old German Riding pony stallion by Cosmopolitan out of Cascada Royale (by Casino Royale K). He is bred by Danica Duen.

Licensed stallion

The 2014 born stallion was licensed at the DSP Pony Stallion Licensing in Oberpörlitz in October 2016 and approved for the Westfalian and Weser-Ems studbook later on.

He did his 2-day shortened suitability test in Ansbach in January 2019 and scored 9.35 points.

Triple Bundeschampion

First competed by breeder Danica Duen in 2017 and went straight on to win the 2017 Bundeschampionate for 3-year old stallions and the 2018 Bundeschampionate as a 4-year old.

In 2019 daughter Sophie Duen took over the ride and piloted the stallion to a third title and gold medal at the Bundeschampionate. In 2020 they returned to Warendorf, but this time landed the bronze medal in the 6-year old division.

Sophie and Cosmo Royale made their international show debut in 2021 at the CDI Kronberg and competed in Ornago four months later. In 2022 they showed at the CDI's in Le Mans and Ornago. Out of 9 international starts, they won once in Ornago, placed second four times, third three times, but were rung out in Ornago in June 2022, their last CDI together.

Denmark

The beautiful chestnut stallion has now been sold to Denmark as a FEI dressage pony. He will continue his sport career under the 13-year old Sophia Rosenkilde

"We are happy that this pony has found a nice new family after Sophie's pony time," said Danica.

Rosenkilde was the bronze medal winner on Timms My Fritz (by Grenzhoehes My Fireball X Orchard D'avranches) at the 2022 Danish Pony Championships for smaller category FEI ponies.
