Damil Dressage
German Franziska Erley and Spaniard Santiago Damil founded Damil Dressage in 2019 and in a short period of time have established a highly respected dressage horse training and sales business. In 2022 the couple purchased the yard Reetbachhof in Fürstenau and have built a home and business there. The equestrian centre also has a nationally approved insemination center and can therefore stand stallions at stud.
Famous horses trained and sold through Damil Dressage are, for instance Lyndal Oatley's Grand Prix hopeful Dante's Herzchen, Nicolas Wagner's young star Milano Vivero, Helen Langehanenberg's young horse ride Vuelve, and Sabine Schut-Kery’s new hope Galleria’s Amon.
First Class Training and Management
Dedicated to training high quality dressage horses and competing up to the highest level, Damil Dressage boasts first-class training and management combined with a horse-friendly life and loving care. "Only with a happy horse you are able to achieve training goals and enjoy the journey. We want to have a sustainable, long-term training programme," said Erley. "All our horses are turned out daily in the field and are allowed to be a horse."
Santi added, "we only train a limited number of horses, so each horse gets the proper individual time and attention. We take into account the horse’s individual physical and psychological conditions and adapt their training schedule accordingly." In their work the couple is assisted by German Under 25 team trainer Sebastian Heinze, who travels weekly to Reetbachhof for coaching.
14 March: Online Stallion Show on ClipMyHorse
A sneak preview is offered in an "Online Stallion Show" streamed on Clip My Horse on 14 March 2023 at 20h00.
"In the online stallion show we want to give a first, short impression of our stallion collection," said Santi. "Most of the stallions are just 3-year olds and we don’t want to put them too much under pressure for the stallion show. With this sneak peek breeders will get a short impression of what we have in the barn. If they want to get a full picture they are invited on the 15 April to our open house event."
15 April: Open House Day with Stallion Presentation
The doors of Reetbachhof will open at 5pm, the presentation of the stallions starts at 6pm. All stallions will be shown under saddle in a training demonstration with Sebastian Heinze.
Admission to the open house is free but there‘s a limited amount of tickets available, so please register via https://damildressage.com/open-house/
