Cathrine Dufour and her sponsors, the Zinglersen family, have invested in a new youngster for the future: the 5-year old Nox.
Investment
Dufour and Zinglersen recently sold their top horse Bohemian in a rumoured multi-million euro deal to a German company that supports Korean Olympian Dong Seon King. Since then the Danish group has been investing in young horses to produce to Grand Prix and sell again.
In February the 4-year old HP Viard (by Vitalis x Diamond Hit x De Niro) joined Dufour's barn, while Zinglersen acquired Mejerigårdens Kenan (by Blue Hors St. Schufro x Pablo) for herself to ride. Last year the group also bought Zimillione PT2 (by Gammelenggards Zappa x Furst Nymphenburg x Lauries Crusador xx) together in Sweden.
Nox
Dufour now sourced the 5-year old KWPN bred Nox in The Netherlands. The chestnut is by Fürst Romancier out of Blue Bell (by Krack C x Jazz). He is bred by A. Schepens.
As a foal he sold for 30,000 euro at the 2018 Prinsjesdag KWPN Foal Auction. Under Jos Hogendoorn Nox was third in 2021 KWPN West-Brabant Young Dressage Talents Competition. In 2022 Femke de Laat steered him to a fourth place in the Pavo Cup Finals. They were also ninth in the 4-year old challenge at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo. The horse was owned by Gert-Jan Plaizier and Kirby Kroos.
"It only took me 20 steps of riding trot to feel that this is my next future dance partner. Never since the first time I tried Cassidy I’ve had this feeling," Dufour stated.
