The equestrian federation of Ecuador has selected two individual combinations for the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, at the end of October 2023.
Ecuador is sending two of its most experienced dressage riders: the U.S. based international Grand Prix rider Julio Mendoza as well as the country's sole 2019 Pan Am representative, Carolina Espinosa, who has only competed in Central and Latin and Central America over the past years.
For the 2023 Games Ecuador will be fielding these riders with the following horses:
- Julio Mendoza on his own and Eliane Cordia-van Reesema's KWPN gelding Jewel's Goldstrike (by Bretton Woods x Scandic)
- Carolina Espinosa on her own Findus K, a 14-year old Hanoverian (by Fidertanz x Pik Bube II)
