Nine colts have started the 2023 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Testing  in Ermelo (NED) on 20 November 2023. They will do a 21-day testing in order to received a definite licensing and breeding permit.

On 8 November an under saddle presentation and second chance for colts who didn't pass the spring testing was held at the KWPN headquarters in Ermelo. Fourteen dressage bred colts were entered, twelve got presented there. One of the striking absentees was Andreas Helgstrand's Proud James (by Jameson x Johnson).

Ten of them showed up for the start of the 21-day testing, but one of them was sent home straight away: Private Dancer (by Le Formidable x Johnson).

One week before the final exam, one further colt dropped out: Perle (by Kjento x Tuschinski) who was also sent home in the spring testing and got a new chance this autumn. He can try again in the spring of 2024.

The final exam day is on 11 December 2023.

The eight colts still in the running are:

  • Power Dancing (by Glamourdale X Johnson)
  • Princeton (by Glamourdale X Don Schufro)
  • Pina Colada M (by Governor X Dayano)
  • Proud James (by Jameson   X Johnson)
  • Prince (by Kingston Blue Hors X Tango)
  • Pjento Naomie (by Kjento X Desperado)
  • Pablo Picasso (by Taminiau X Florencio)
  • Potencion (by For Ferrero X Ferdeaux)

The biggest absentee from the autumn testing is the premium stallion and licensing crowd favourite L'Avenir (by Le Formidable), who is also Oldenburg licensed. He failed to show up in spring and was not presented in autumn either.
