With Poland qualified as a team for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Polish Grand Prix riders feel the Olympic fire burning to have horses lined-up as team hopefuls. Seasoned team rider Zaneta Skowronska-Kozubik has received the ride on a GP hopeful last minute before the FEI Olympic ownership deadline of 15 January 2024.

The 14-year old Baden Wurttemberger mare Sunny Sunday G has been sold to Poland.

Sunny Sunday G is by San Amour out of Escada (by Escudo II x Walt Disney x Laibach). She is bred by Gene and Janine Goldschmidt.

The mare's sport career was started in 2013 at age 3 under Nikolaus Kühn. With Julia Kühn (then Julia Machat) she won the Wurttemberger regional young horse championships in Tubingen in July that year and placed 21st at the 2013 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.

The horse sold to Klaus Kemmerer for Timo Kemmerer to ride in 2014 and Timo produced her to Grand Prix level. He debuted her at M-level in February 2019 and did their first S-level test in the spring that year. In 2020 the pair performed in their first Intermediaire II and the last three years got established at Grand Prix level, competing regularly at regional and national shows until June 2023. They were regional champions in 2021 and 2022.

Skowronska Wins the Group C Olympic team qualifier

The mare was sent to Saskia Evertz of equestrian centre Aischbachhof to be sold. Through an ad in Eurodressage's Equimarket the mare found a new owner in Poland.

She has been acquired by Hanna Modrzejewska and Tomasz Modrzejewski, who have given the ride on her to Zaneta Skowronska-Kozubik

Skowronska was the highest scoring Polish rider at the Group C Olympic team qualifier in Pilisjaszfalu (HUN) where Poland obtained its team slot for the Olympics. She had just sold her number one Romantic P to Luxembourg and has continued at Grand Prix level with Andrzej Salacki's rising 16-year old Hanoverian Love Me (by Locksley x Walt Disney), whom she first competed internationally at small tour level in 2015 and at Grand Prix level since 2016.
