The Oldenburg licensed stallion Moreno OLD has been sold to a German junior rider. The stallion will continue his sport career with Leni-Sophie Böttcher.
Moreno OLD is a 7-year old Oldenburg by Morricone out of Simone (by San Amour x Diamond Hit). He is bred by Wilhelm Strohm.
Licensed Stallion
Owned by Monika Kappelhoff, the dark bay Moreno was licensed at the 2019 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta and named fourth ranked premium stallion. He sold at auction for 120,000 euro to Gerd Sosath. Moreno got approved for Hanover a year later.
He did his 14-day suitability test in Schlieckau in September 2020, scoring 8,58 for dressage and 6,80 for show jumping (7,85 total).
In 2021 he did his sport test in Munster and earned 7,95 points. Six months later he completed his second mandatory sport test and got 7,70 points.
Sport Career
Moreno made his show debut in 2020 as a 3-year old under Veronika Steinhof. They got silver at the 2020 Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede and placed fifth at the 2020 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.
In 2021 Madita Rentz began training and showing the stallion and she competed him at regional shows in the area through June 2022. A year break from competition followed and in November 2023, Moreno returned in Ankum at M-level.
Leni-Sophie Böttcher
Four weeks ago Moreno sold to 15-year old German junior rider Leni Böttcher, who trains at Gut Roemerhof in the Düsseldorf area.
Young Leni began her show career on Maschok (by Black Boy x Neckar) in the leadline class in 2014. In 2018 she showed pony Dressless AT (by Dreidimensional x Go For Gold) briefly, while in 2019 Golden Power Boy (by FS Golden Moonlight x Dressmann) was her main ride through 2021.
Böttcher switched to A-level showing on horses in the autumn of 2021 with Weltenstolz (by Weltissimo x Brentano II) but also showed pony Glücksengechen (by HET Golden Dream x FS Don't Worry) for a short while. She rode her first and only CDI, so far, in the Children's division on Weltenstolz in Troisdorf in October 2022.
In 2023 her collection of horses expanded with the now 7-year old For Detroit (by For Dance x Detroit) and the experienced 18-year old Rubiks Cube (by Rotspon x Weltruhm). Böttcher competed at the 2022 and 2023 Rhinelander Regional Championships in Langenfeld.
