Boneo Park, one of Australia's main equestrian competition venues, announced today that the sale to Australian Developer QLV has fallen through.

In October 2023 Boneo's owner - Australian Grand Prix rider Fiona Selby (née McNaught) - sold the business as a going concern, the landholding of 318 hectares (789 acres), and 12 titles to QLV Group, an Australian-owned tourism, leisure, and sport facility developer.

Today Boneo communicated that "the sale has not completed, and as a consequence we are returning the property to market for sale. As a result of this disappointing news, we have made some changes to our business operations."

Selby continued, "We will be making some changes to our events calendar as well as the number of events that we will be running during 2024. We are currently not taking any further equestrian event bookings. We would love to see Boneo Park continue as one of the country’s most prominent equestrian venues. The current interest in the property suggests that its future use is uncertain. The equestrian industry is full of passionate and committed individuals and we are really hoping that by working together we can find a solution for the future of Boneo Park."

Boneo Park is located on the Mornington Peninsula and came into the family's ownership 20 years ago. They restored the Tootgarook Wetland and developed the land into one with national significance, especially from an environmental perspective.
