TSF Nautilus Sold to German Young Rider

TSF Nautilus, an internationally competed, former Trakehner licensed stallion, has been sold to a German dressage loving family. The bay gelding has joined the Morzynski's string of FEI level horses.

TSF Nautilus is a 10-year old Trakehner by Connery out of Nina IV (by Latimer x Caprimond). He is bred by Hilmar Schmidtke.

Licensed Stallion

Owned by owned by Dr. Birgit Lehner from Leonding, Austria, Nautilus first came into the spotlight at the 2016 Trakehner Stallion Licensing where he was approved. He sold at the auction to Jens Thorsen of Pallerhaff in Luxembourg for 60,000 euro.

The stallion never did his performance test and only resurfaced four years later in Spain

Jose Antonio Garcia Mena

In 2020 Spanish team rider Jose Antonio Garcia Mena made his show debut on the stallion.

The pair collected bronze in the 6-year old division at the 2020 Spanish Young Horse Championships after winning the first qualifier with 81,200%, placing second with 83,800% in the second qualifier and fourth in the finals with 79,400%. Their international show debut was in August 2020 at the CDI Beloura in Portugal where they twice finished third in the 6-year old classes.

Nautilus at the 2016 Trakehner Licensing

A year later they were good for gold in the 7-year old division at the 2021 Spanish Young Horse Championships.

In 2022 they showed at two CDI's at small tour level: they won the small tour at the CDI Alter do Chao in May 2022 and went to the CDIO Aachen where they were 9th in the Prix St Georges and third in the Intermediaire I.

Florine Kienbaum

Nautilus stayed in Germany and was gelded. His sport career continued under Florine Kienbaum, who made her show debut on him in Ankum in March 2023.

Kienbaum and Nautilus competed in the Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifiers in Hagen and Balve, where they got their ticket to the finals. They finished 9th in the finals in Frankfurt.

Even before Frankfurt, the 9-year old Nautilus had already made his Grand Prix level debut at the show in Görlitz in August 2023.

Morzynski

The bay gelding has now been sold to the Morzynski. Mom Natalie and daughter Phelina are both ambitious dressage riders with the mother competing at Grand Prix level and daughter Phelina at Young Riders level.

Phelina has already made her show debut in Nautilus at the local show in Borken on 10 February 2024. They tested the waters in an S* level test.
