German 2022 WEG team rider Benjamin Werndl will be making his return as a test rider at the 2024 SWB Equestrian Weeks with Breeders Trophy in Flyinge this autumn.
In addition to being the test rider for the 4-year olds in the Swedish Warmblood Young Horse Championships he will be hosting a clinic focusing on the training of young dressage riders and their horses on Sunday 29 September 2024. There will also be a Q&A session for the audience.
SWB Equestrian Weeks with Breeders Trophy aims to promote the important foundational training of young horses, and having sought-after and skilled test riders aligns with this long-term goal.
"We received an overwhelmingly positive response after Benjamin joined SWB Equestrian Weeks as a test rider last year," says show manager and senior advisor Tomas Torgersen.
The test riding during the SWB Equestrian Weeks is immensely popular and draws a large audience.
"I am happy to return as a test rider," said Werndl. "It will also be very rewarding to do a clinic where we can focus to go more into detail, as well as talk about the challenges that can occur when training different types of horses."
Werndl joins a string of international riders who featured as test rider at the SWB Equestrian Week. He succeeds Cathrine Dufour, Anna Blomgren, Emmelie Scholtens, Hella Kuntz, Manuel Bammel, Patrik Kittel, and Charlotte Dujardin amongst others.
