German Olympian Nadine Capellmann has welcomed Furioso V as the newest member of her cast of horses to her farm in Wurselen, Germany.
Furioso V is a 9-year old Hanoverian gelding by Fahrenheit out of Walburga (by Decarpentry x Walt Disney). He is bred by Raimund Vorwerk.
Lena Hassmann
Originally named Fifty Cent V, the dark bay gelding was only lightly competed i his career, starting with Michele Schulmerig as a young horse and Florine Lipsmeier when he was seven.
Furioso V was produced to Grand Prix level by Lena Hassmann (née Waldmann) for owner Petra Schamburg. Lena premiered him at Prix St Georges level in July 2023 and took him up to medium tour level in the spring of 2024. The pair rode its first Intemediaire II and Short Grand Prix at the CDN Marl in May, winning both tests with 72.632% and 73.070%. Hassmann established the horse in the Grand Prix work during the summer.
Nadine Capellmann
German horse dealer Jochen Arl pitched Furioso V to Nadine Capellmann, who added the horse to her string.
Capellmann is a double Olympic team gold medalist (2000, 2008). She was the 2002 World Champion and won triple team gold at the World Equestrian Games of 1998, 2002 and 2006 at the European Championships in 1997, 1999 and 2001. Her career making horses were Gracioso, Farbenfroh and Elvis.
Nadine's most recent Grand Prix horses are Waitoni and Hocus Pocus which Arl both found for her.
