German Grand Prix rider Bernadette Brune has taken over the ride on her own San To Alati from trainer Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf.

San To Alati is a 6-year old Hanoverian stallion by Secret out of Bella Florencia (by Belissimo M x Florencio x Michelangelo). He is bred by Lena-Marie and Kerstin Klose.

Premium Stallion

The gorgeous liver chestnut stallion became a premium stallion and reserve champion the 2020 DSP Stallion Licensing.

He sold at auction for 75,000 euro and was later recorded as co-owned by the breeder in partnership with Philipp Hess.

He scored the third highest mark at the 2021 Adelheidsdorf Autumn Stallion Suitability Test and got licensed for Hanover. In his two sport tests focus dressage in the following years, he impressed with top scores. He won part I in Münster-Handorf with a score of 9.12 and 8.62 in Part II in Verden. He became the recipient of the Weltmeyer Prize in 2024.

Stefanie Viehoff-Wolf

San to Alati was trained and competed for three years by Stefanie Wolf.

Wolf rode him in his first young horses classes, but when she fractured her leg, Mareike Mimberg took over the ride for the summer and she won the 2022 Hanoverian Young Horse Championships with him in the 4-year old stallion class on a score of 9.2. He sold to Bernadette Brune shortly afterwards.  Mimberg and San to Alati also won the 2022 Bundeschampionate but the horse got stripped from his title after a positive medication test.

Brune trained San To Alati in winter periods, but Wolf was back in the saddle in spring and summer to compete him and to stand him up for stud as there is a EU-collection station where she is based.

Wolf and San to Alati
Wolf and San to Alati finished 14th at the 2023 World Championships for 5-year-old dressage horses in Ermelo/NED after winning the consolation class. He was also fourth at the 2023 Bundeschampionate.  At the 2024 World Championships for young horses he was 11th in the 6-year old Finals

Bernadette Brune

Owner Bernadette Brune has now taken over the ride on San To Alati herself for his future as S-level. The stallion has moved to Gestut Brune in Bad Zwischenahn.

"When I bought this horse I never could have dreamt he would make it into the finals of two World Young Horse Championships," Brune stated last week after Ermelo."I'm thankful and grateful to Stefanie for having trained him so well. Ermelo was the last start for both of them because as of now I'll be riding this dream horse every day. Let's see where the road takes us."

Brune was the owner of no less than two finalists at the WCYH in Ermelo. She also owns Enrico de Hus (by Escolar x Don Juan de Hus) who finished 8th in the 5-year old finals with assistant rider Jennifer Stein.
