The 5-year old Rhinelander licensed stallion Erste Sahne has been sold to Thomas Müller, husband of German Grand Prix rider Lisa Müller.

Erste Sahne is by Escamillo out of Si Jolie (by Sir Donnerhall x Fidermark). He is bred by  Hanne Schleupen.

Rickhof

The bay stallion was first licensed with the Mecklenburger studbook at a private, home licensing in Viersen in December 2021, after which his approval for the Westfalian studbook followed in February 2022.  In 2023 he was also approved for Hanover and Oldenburg.

Owned by Iris Jansen-Jentgens of Gestut Rickhof in Viersen, Erste Sahne did his first sport test in April 2023 and scored 9,20 points. He did his second sport test a year later, also in Munster-Handorf, and this time scored 8,21 points.

Erste Sahne had a very limited sport career so far. Jana Freund rode him in two local shows in the spring of 2024 at A and L-level, placing second twice.

Sold to Müller

The stallion has now been sold to Thomas Müller, whose wife Lisa is a Grand Prix rider.

The young stallion has moved to stallion station Wadenspanner in Bavaria, where Müller's Bowmore and Feliciano are also based.

"We are thrilled that Erste Sahne now calls Bavaria his home," Walter Wadenspanner announced.

Wadenspanner confirmed the sale to Thomas Müller to Eurodressage and told us that he and his wife Johanna tried out Erste Sahne at the start of September during the Bundeschampionate.

"We are excited about Erste Sahne's future in sport and breeding," said Walter, who added that he used Erste Sahne last year on his own Antango mare and was thrilled with the quality of the filly born.
