Spanish Olympian Beatriz Ferrer-Salat has passed on the ride on her acquired Grand Prix horse Fendi T to student Cristina Torrent Moll.

Fendi T is a 14-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Negro out of Sursela (by Lester x L'Espoir). He is bred by Timmers & Awater.

Charlotte Fry

Owned by Gert-Jan van Olst, the chestnut made his international show debut under Charlotte Fry at the 2017 CDIO Compiegne. In the summer of that year they went to the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 11th in the consolation finals.

From 2018 through 2019, Fry showed the gelding at small tour level at CDI's in Nieuw en St. Joosland, Compiegne, Lier and Kronenberg.

Severo Jurado Lopez

The Van Olst couple reconnected with their former assistant trainer, Severo Jurado Lopez, when they send Fendi T to him in the spring of 2020 The Spaniard had left Van Olst Horses to go work for Helgstrand Dressage in Denmark, but went independent in 2020.

The pair made its international show debut in April 2021 at the CDI Hagen and showed in Compiegne and at the Spanish Olympic team selection trial in Grote Brogel, where they were third. A controversial ride-off followed between him and Jose Antonio Garcia Mena during quarantine in Aachen, but in the end Claudio Castilla Ruiz and Alcaide dropped out last minute due to fitness issues and both got to go.

In Tokyo, Jurado and Fendi T were 21st in the Grand Prix Special with 70.152%. Six weeks later they represented Spain again at the 2021 European Championships in Hagen, but stranded in the Grand Prix with 68.944% and a 39th place. It was the pair's last show.

Phoebe Peters

Fendi T disappeared from the radar for a while to return almost a year later under British Phoebe Peters at a national show in The Netherlands. Peters had begun working for Van Olst and received the ride on "sales horse" Fendi T. She competed him in the Prix St Georges at the CDN Beesd, scoring 68.897% for second place

Beatriz Ferrer-Salat

Fendi sold to Beatriz Ferrer-Salat in March 2023 to fill in for her injured Grand Prix horse: her Tokyo Olympic ride Elegance (by Negro x Monaco). Ferrer-Salat ended up never competing Fendi.

Torrent on Dinna Marq in Ermelo
The Barcelona based Olympic medal winner has now allocated the ride to 30-year old Cristina Torrent Moll.

"Bea wanted to give me the opportunity to ride a GP horse and gain experience at this level," Cristina told Eurodressage. "I’m very grateful to Bea because Fendi is a super horse from whom I will be able to learn a lot."

Torrent came out of the youth division, having made her international show debut as a young rider in 2013. Her first CDI partner was De Vic (by Chagal out of Espiga). He took her to the European Young Riders Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. She has also competed at three World Young Horse Championships with Dinna Marq (by Rio Marq x Sandro Hit).

When asked what her plans with Fendi T are for the 2025 show season, Cristina replied "our plans for next year are to start competing him and I gain experience gradually."
