Internationally competed Grand Prix horse Hexagon's Innuendo has begun his journey to Japan.
Hexagon's Innuendo is a 12-year old Dutch warmblood by Negro out of 2024 KWPN Broodmare of the Year Ushimanda (by Rubiquil x Matrador II). He is bred by the late Leunus van Lieren
Sergio Bermejo Garcia
Bred, reared and trained at Stable Hexagon in Schore, The Netherlands, Innuendo was developed to Grand Prix level under the watchful eye of his breeder Leunus and his life partner Thamar Zweistra.
The dark bay gelding became the career starting horse for young Spanish professional Sergio Bermejo Garcia, who worked as an assistant rider at Hexagon. The pair made its international show debut at Under 25 level in Opglabbeek in April 2021. They showed in Le Mans and Zandhoven and were nominated on the Spanish team for the 2021 European Under 25 Championships, where they placed 47th in the individual test (61.641%).
With Garcia's departure from Hexagon, Thamar Zweistra took over the ride and she presented him briefly in February and March 2024 at the CDI's in Le Mans and 's Hertogenbosch. The latter show almost a year ago was the horse's last CDI.
Japan
Innuendo has now been sold to Japan as a Grand Prix schoolmaster for a Young Rider.
Innuendo is one of four (rising) Grand Prix trained horses which stable Hexagon has sold abroad in the past three months, including Hexagon's Leon, Hexagon's Joella, and sales horse Schnell's Alley Cat. The stable received a heavy blow with the untimely passing of its founder, Leunus van Lieren, on 6 December 2024.
