After initially not sending a team, the Canadian Equestrian Federation has had a change of heart and found a trio interested to represent Canada at the 2025 FEI Nations Cup in Wellington, Florida.

The first leg of the 2025 FEI Nations Cup series takes place at the Global Dressage Festival on 19 - 23 February 2025. The series then moves to Europe in May with legs in Compiegne (1 - 5 May), Lier (15 - 18 May), Rotterdam (19 - 22 June), Aachen (3 - 6 July) and Falsterbo (10 - 17 July).

Canada has always had a consistent presence in the Wellington Nations Cup over the years. The first CDIO in Wellington was held in 2012 and with a large Canadian community wintering in Florida it was never an issue.  This year Canada decided fairly late to send a team.

The Canadian team includes:

  • Ava MacCoubrey on the 17-year old KWPN bred Don Camillo-S (by Spielberg x Osmium)
  • Megan Shea – Sir Schiwago on the 19-year old Bavarian bred  Sir Schiwago (by Sir Donnerhall x Lanciano)
  • Mathilde Blais Terault on the 15-year old KWPN bred Fedor (by Johnson x Negro)
