Madeleine Winter-Schulze's Grand Prix horse Freischütz has gone to a German junior rider, Feodora von Roeder.

Freischütz is a 12-year old Oldenburg gelding by Foundation out of Mona Martina (by Del Martino x Eskardo x De Niro) ). He is bred by Franz-Josef Wieghaus-Vorwerk.

Reserve Licensing Champion

The dark bay was presented by Andreas Helgstrand and Udo Wagner for approval at the 2015 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta, where he was named reserve champion. At the auction following the licensing he sold for 320,000 euro and was announced to be sold to The Netherlands, but rumours in Vechta said that Helgstrand bought back the colt.

He did his stallion performance test in Denmark in the autumn of 2016 and scored 800 points.

Dressage Grand Ducale

Helgstrand sold he stallion to Dressage Grand Ducal in Luxembourg and the horse moved in training with Sascha Schulz.

Schulz debuted the stallion internationally in March 2018 at the CDI Ebreichsdorf in the 5-year old classes and also competed in Wiener Neustadt. In 2019 he rode the 6-year old tests at the CDI Leudelange.

In 2019 Grand Ducale downsized and sold a gelded Freischutz back to Helgstrand.
