
Rose Oatley, the 2024 European Junior Riders Champion, has received the ride on two of Gert Saborowski's horses. Oatley welcomed Grand Prix mare Feldrose and small tour horse Don Domingo.
Saborowski used to work with Finnish Olympian Emma Kanerva but they went separate ways last summer and Saborowski's horses have been rehomed.
Feldrose
The 13-year old Hanoverian mare Feldrose (by Feuerspiel x Latimer) is bred by Burkhard Wahler and was first shown. Lena Bammel before selling to Saborowski for 270,000 euro at the 2016 Klosterhof Medingen auction.
In 2017 Vivien Grabowski showed the mare once before Emma Kanerva took over and produced her to international Grand Prix level. They rode the burgpokal qualifiers in 2020 and the louisdor cup qualifiers in 2021. They finished 12th in the 2021 Louisdor Cup Finals.
The mare's international Grand Prix debut was in Troisdorf in April 2022 and in 2023 she showed in Aachen Festival 4 Dressage, Tolbert, and Ermelo, while in 2024 they went to Herning, Tolbert and Hagen. Feldrose was a back-up horse for Emma's number one, Greek Air, which she took to the 2024 Olympics. Hagen in June 2024 was the pair's last. international.
Rose Oatley debuted Feldrose at the local show in Scharnebeck on 19 April and won the S*** class with 73.728%. They are scheduled to make their CDI debut in Mannheim in two weeks.
Don Domingo
Rose also welcomed Saborowski's Don Domingo into the barn, an 11-year old Hanoverian by Dimaggio x Don Davidoff.
Kanerva premiered him in 2022 at small tour level. In 2023 they focused on the Burgpokal qualifiers and finished 6th in the 2023 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals in Frankfurt. It was their last show.
Oatley debuted Don Domingo at the Preis der Besten qualifier in Hagen on 4 - 6 April 2025 at young riders level. The pair has been nominated for the Preis der Besten in Warendorf, the first round of the German team selections for the European Youth Championships next summer.
"Very excited to have just these two horses at the moment from Gert," Rose told Eurodressage. "We have a cooperation with him that we are campaigning the horses."
Mist of Titanium
Saborowski's 13-year old Oldenburg bred Grand Prix horse Mist of Titanium (by Millennium x Diamonit) has found a new rider in Manuel Bammel
The new duo made its show debut at the local show in Stubben-Brunshausen, where he scored 70.702% to win an S*** class on 29 March 2025. The next day they posted 69.733% in an S*** class for second place.
Saborowksi's Greek Air as been sold to Sweden.
