The Oldenburg breeding society has announced that it will moves its annual elite mare show and Oldenburg young horse championships from its traditional venue in Rastede to a new location.
For 2026 the event will take place in Höven on 30 June - 5 July.
"The compact facility and infrastructure in Höven offer ideal conditions for further developing the championships and breeding events in the interests of horses, riders and breeders," the Oldenburg society stated in its press release.
In Höven the new championship will include young riding horse, dressage and show jumping horse championships, the Bundeschampionate qualifier, for horses and ponies, an HLP performance test for 4 - 6 year olds, and of course the elite mare championship with Brilliantring.
"In addition, a foal auction will be held in Höven with a select lot of around 20 high-quality foals, which will enrich the programme and offer additional appeal for breeders, riders and visitors," Oldenburg stated.
The event will be held in close cooperation and partnership with the Höven Riding Club, which, with great commitment and
experience, is creating the necessary infrastructure and contributing to the successful implementation of the championships.
