The FEI has appointed the ground jury for the 2026 World Championships for young dressage horses, which are to be held at the Hanoverian headquarters in Verden, Germany, on 4 - 9 August 2026.
Verden secured a three-year cycle of hosting the WCYH from 2025 through 2027 after it staged the 2021 edition (following the 2020 cancellation due to corona).
The pilot project for the WCYH took place in Verden in 1998. The first edition was held in Arnheim in 1999. They also hosted the 2000 WCYH after which it moved to Verden in 2001 until 2016 when Ermelo took over the baton..
Ermelo hosted the event from 2016 till 2019 and from 2022 till 2024.

The ground jury for the 2025 WCYH includes:

The reserve judge is Maria Colliander (FIN).
The Foreign Technical Delegate is Freddy Leyman (BEL), the chief steward is Dan Chapman (GBR).
