American Grand Prix rider Charlotte Jorst has taken over the ride on the Lusitano stallion Niquel CAP, who was previously trained and competed by Lisa Wilcox.
Niquel CAP is a 9-year old Mexican bred Lusitano by Embucado out of Gueisha CAP (by Millonario). He is bred by Lusitanos Capellania.

Owned by Armina Bursese, the grey stallion has been developed to Grand Prix level by Lisa Wilcox.
She first competed him at national small tour level in Wellington in February 2025 and moved him up to national Inter II level in May and to Grand Prix level by the end of July.
This year she competed him at national Grand Prix level at the 2026 Global Dressage Festival in two shows, scoring round 65 - 67%.

Less than three weeks into their partnership, Jorst immediately took Niquel out to show at Global. She ride him in the Lovsta Future Challenge Intermediaire II test for a 60.294% as well as a national Grand Prix (62.229%). Last weekend she did two further tests to 66.413% and 66.957% for a win.
"It was pretty damn awesome," Charlotte said about her victory. "I am so happy with this little boy. He's so sweet and we have such a great relationship already."

With "Nikko" Charlotte has extended her Wellington show season. "I love my new Nikko. It’s been such a difficult time for me and this beautiful boy is just making my days! I’m so appreciative of him," she explained.
Jorst left Lars Petersen as a coach and is now again exclusively working with Marie Meyers.
