Malaysia to Send One Individual to 2026 Asian Games

Malaysia will be sending one individual rider to the 20é6 Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan, on 25 - 27 September 2026. 

Malaysia had no team at the previous Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, in 2023, but take home individual gold as Qabil Ambak won the Games. 

For 2026 Malaysia will be represented by Diani Lee Chang Ni, a 38-year old who competed at the 2006 Asian Games and 2007 South East Asian Games aboard Antschar (by ) and the 2010 Asian Games on Stravinsky (by ).

Diani disappeared from international competition scene. After graduting as a Bachelor in Business at the University of South California, she worked as general manager of communications in the family company, Country Heights Holdings Berhad, in Malaysia. She also started a family and is a mom of four. In 2024 Diani underwent hip replacement surgery.

Coached by Danish Dennis Fisker, Diani Lee made her come back in 2025 after purchasing Blue Hors Touch of Olympic L, Agaardens Lianne, and Sam. With the 13-year old Oldenburg Sam (by Sezuan x Licotus) she competed at the 2025 South East Asian Games in Pattaya, where she scored her first Asian Games MER score (64.794% in the PSG). In March 2026 she showed him at the CDI Flyinge to get her second MER score of 63.323% in the Inter I.
