Beatrice Arturi Leaves Gestut Sprehe

Young professional dressage rider Beatrice Arturi has left her employer of 4.5 years, Gestut Sprehe, to go independent.

The 24-year old Arturi made the transition from youth dressage sport to professional horse riding when she accepted the job at Gestut Sprehe in January 2022.

From Youth Sport to Professional Riding

At the time Arturi was a five-time European Youth Championship rider and Italian Junior Champion, having competed horses Sandro Minka EST (by Sandro Boy Junior x Kigali), Le Bom (by Louis Le Bon x Pit I), Trakehner Donaudistel (by Distelzar x Herzzauber), and Grandeur (by Charmeur x Krack C).

Beatrice came to work under Sabine Rueben, who coached her to train and compete young stallions. Beatrice sold Grandeur to Japan. She returned to international Young Riders competition on Sprehe's Daily Deal in June 2022 and took him to the Europeans, while also riding young horses Morricone II and Dimaggio Black at the 2022 World Young Horse Championships.

In 2023 Arturi got the ride on Kristina Sprehe's Grand Prix horse Destiny OLD and took him to three consecutive European Under 25 Championships, finishing 11th and 16th in the Kurs in 2023 and 2024. This year she achieved her career highlight so far by winning bronze aboard Sprehe's Hanoverian stallion Sir Gribaldi at the World Young Horse Championships in Verden.

Independence

Arturi has now left Gestut Sprehe to set up her independent business together with boyfriend Julian Fetzer out of stable Böckmann in Lastrup.

"I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to ride such amazing horses But now I feel like it’s time to start a new chapter," Arturi told Eurodressage.
