Stella Briand Takes Over French Team Pony Under Cover Fast

French Children's team rider Stella Briand has taken over the ride on the triple French dressage team pony Under Cover Fast.

Under Cover Fast is a 13-year old Selle Français licensed pony stallion by the Trakehner stallion Latimer out of a Cansas dam.

French Young Pony Champion

He was the reserve champion of the French Pony Stallion Licensing.

As a young pony stallion, he was reserve French champion as a 3-year old and won the French Young Pony Championships as a 4-year old. He became again reserve champion at the French Pony Championships as a 5 and 6-year old.

French Team Pony

Owned by Nolwenn Rouxel, the black stallion made his international show debut at FEI pony level with Charlotte Palas in 2016.

Palas and Under Cover Fast at the 2017 CDI Lier

The duo was highly successful that year, competing at the 2016 European Pony Championships in Vilhelmsborg, where they made it to the Kur to Music finals, from which they unfortunately had to retire. They were 8th at the 2016 French Pony Championships. Palas competed Under Cover Fast through 2017 and returned to the European Championships in Kaposvar, where they were 17th in the Kur. They finished their career together with the gold medal and title at the 2017 French Pony Championships.

As of 2018 the owner's daughter, Cassandra Rouxel took over the ride and rode at the 2018 French Pony Championships, but were eliminated in the second round. They made her CDI debut in October 2018 in Le Mans with a nice 10th place in their first freestyle. Rouxel and Under Cover Fast competed at just a few CDI's, one in 2019 (Nice), one in 2020 (Le Mans), but they made it to the 2020 European Pony Championships in Budapest, where they were 34th in the individual test.

For the 2021 season, French children team rider Stella Briand has taken over the stallion from Rouxel, who reached the age limit.

The 14-year old Briand began her sport career as an international show jumping rider aboard Viky des Deux Cedres (by Controe HN x Butin d'Elle). in 2019 she switched to Children dressage with U2 Jass du Derby (by Rob Roy x Lauries Crusador xx) and represented France at the 2019 European Children Championship in San Giovanni in Marignani, where they were 37th in the team test, and at the 2020 European Children Championship in Budapest, where they were 11th in the individual test.

Dressprod announced that Briand plans to make her show debut on Under Cover Fast at the CDI Le Mans on 29 April - 2 May 2021.

Briand continues to combine her international show jumping career with dressage.
