French Olympic dressage rider Morgan Barbançon will be making her way over to Wellington, Florida, to compete at the Global Dressage Festival for the first time.
Barbançon is bringing over three horses or a winter show campaign.
Grand Prix first reported Morgan's plans for her winter in the sun, confirming that she is bringing her rising Grand Prix horses Bolero, Habana Libre A and Deodoro, while her top star Sir Donnerhall II will stat at home in Geneva, Switzerland.
To Eurodressage, Morgan explained that Sir Donnerhall II, aka Gus, won't join her because of the American quarantine procedures. He will be prepared for the CDI Doha at the end of February instead.
"I will be flying up and down," Morgan told Eurodressage. "I have one student Elsa that rides really well that will keeping moving Gus. I’m not taking Gus because he a stallion and it’s super expensive for stallions and 3 weeks quarantine, whereas geldings only 2 days."
Morgan will be basing herself out of the stable of Canadian Naima Moreira Laliberté, who this year has chosen this year to stay in Europe with her coach Jordi Domingo in Spain.
