Monica Theodorescu will be running for a second term on the FEI Dressage Committee Member. She stands unopposed for the term 2024 - 2028.

The appointment will be made by the FEI Board on 10 November at the 2024 FEI General Assembly.

Two Terms Now Possible

Originally committee members were only allowed to fulfil one term of four years but as of 21 November 2023 the FEI changes its statutes

Statute 31.7 now reads: "Unless otherwise specified, a member of a Technical Committee may serve two (2) consecutive Terms. Any Member who has served two (2) Term may not serve another Term in the same Committee without a break of at least two (2) years, unless the member becomes Chair. Filling a vacancy for any period of less than three (3) years does not count as a full Term."

In the 2021 version it said, "Unless otherwise specified, any member of a Technical Committee who has served one (1) Term may not serve another Term in the same Committee without a break of at least two (2) years, unless the member becomes Chair."

Theodorescu to Replace Herself

Monica Theodorescu (GER) was appointed member of the FEI Dressage Committee for the four-year term 2020-2024 in November 2020. She replaced outgoing member George Williams (USA).

The FEI Board was informed of Theodorescu's renewed candidacy for appointment, which has been positively vetted by the FEI Nominations Committee during its meeting on 28 and 29 May at the FEI Headquarters.

The current FEI Dressage Committee includes three judges (Alonso, Storr, Pinteus), an FEI athletes representative (Yvonne Losos de Muniz) and a show organizers rep (Thomas Eyckmans). Theodorescu is the deputy chair on the current FEI DC.

In 2025 two positions on the FEI Dressage Committee will be up for appointment: the one of chair (Maribel Alonso) as well as Peter Storr's post.
