Swedish Olympian Juliette Ramel has sold her rising Grand Prix star Gideon K.H. to a Dutch Under 25 rider.

Gideon K.H. is a 13-year old KWPN gelding by Rhodium out of Ronja K.H. (by Krack C x Nuriel). He is bred by P. Bakker.

Half Brother to Buriel KH

The bay gelding was acquired as a young horse by Swedish Olympian Juliette Ramel, whose international Grand Prix career got launched by her number one  in the barn, Buriel KH (by Osmium x Krack C), the half-brother to Gideon.

In 2013 he was presented at the pre-selection for the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing but did not move on to the second phase.

The horse was produced to Grand Prix level by Ramel who made her international show debut on him straight at Grand Prix level in 2023 in Troisdorf. They scored 70.000% in their first CDI GP test.

In 2024 Ramel campaigned Gideon at prominent shows in Le Mans, Lier, Aachen, Compiegne, Hagen and Aachen, seemingly as a back-up for her aging top horse, Buriel KH, who in the end was selected by team trainer Bo Jena on the Swedish Olympic team for Paris.  Ramel last competed Gideon at the CDI Hagen in September and posted 71.000% to place third in the Grand Prix and 71.979% for a second place in the Special.

Sold to The Netherlands

The Dutch based Ramel has sold Gideon K.H. to German born Dutch Under 25 rider Sophie Reef.

"Very excited to say that he’s now part of our family," said Sophie. "He’s such a cute boy and I can’t wait to get started with him."

The 24-year old Reef made her international show debut as a junior rider in 2017 aboard Rue Noblesse (by Rosentau x Cordoba). In 2018 she moved to young riders' level with him and also made her Under 25 debut on Silencium (by Shakespeare in Love x Wolkenstein II). As of the spring of 2019 Reef began competing two new Dutch acquisitions, Under 25 mount Charming Lady  (by Painted Black x Krack C) and young riders horse Genua TC (by Charmeur x Jazz). She campaigned those two internationally until July 2020.

In the autumn of 2021 Reef declared for The Netherlands and continued competing Charming Lady as well as Straight Horse Don Zuan i(by Zack x Don Schufro). This year she and Charming Lady were nominated on the Dutch team for the 2024 European Under 25 Championships where they got team bronze and placed 8th in the U25 GP test.
