The KWPN licensed stallion Gotcha Utopia has been sold to Austria. The 14-year old only recently made his international show debut.

Gotcha Utopia is a 2011 born Dutch warmblood by Ziesto out of Allure Utopia (by Uphill x Darlington). He is bred by Eimert Fikse.

Dutch Beginning

The stallion was licensed at the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing in Den Bosch, the year Glamourdale became champion. He scored 80 points in the stallion performance test.

He was first competed in sport by Jennifer Sekreve and won two Subli cup qualifiers. They were 7th in the 2015 Pavo Cup Finals.

As a breeding stallion Gotcha Utopia was quite popular in his first year standing at stud. He has a nice crop born in 2015 and sired one licensed son, Blue Hors Livius (now gelded) in 2016. In recent years he bred less.

German Collaboration

The KWPN stallion moved to Hofgut Rosenau in Germany in 2015 as a collaboration between the owner, the Van Norel family of the Pretendenthoeve, and Hans Nolte. In the FEI database they are listed as co-owners.

The ride was intended for Anna Nolte as her big future hope, but the pair ended up competing in just two classes, an L-level test in June 2016 and an M-level test in October 2017.

Commute Between Holland and Germany

In 2020 it was announced that Gotcha Utopia was sent back home to Holland.

He returned in the training of Jennifer Sekreve and competed at the 2020 Dutch Championships at ZZ-Zwaar lebel, but then he disappeared from the public eye for almost four years. The stallion had returned to Germany but did not compete. He was sent back to Holland in 2023 and was briefly trained at home by Nico Nyssen.

Gotcha returned to the spotlight in 2024 as a schoolmaster for Dutch junior rider Sophie van Norel.  With her Gotcha made his international show debut at the CDI Tolbert in April 2024. Coached by Joyce van Rooijen-Heuitink the pair posted 69.727% in the team test. It was the stallion's first and last CDI, so far. At the 2024 Dutch Junior Riders Championships they were sixth.

Austria

Gotcha-Utopia has now been sold to the Austrian Franz Holzleitner for his daughters Theresa and Katharina to ride.
