Two Danish riders were in charge of the Under 25 division held at the 2025 CDI-W Amsterdam on 24 - 25 January 2025.
Sophia Ludvigsen and Thea Bech took turns in taking the victory in the two classes, the Short Grand Prix and Kur to Music that were part of the Lövsta Future Challenge International Dressage Tour, which consists of three competitions at the World Cup qualifiers in Herning, Amsterdam, and Gothenburg. The tour provides an opportunity for some of Europe's best U25 dressage riders to compete in a World Cup atmosphere.
Ludvigsen topped the short Grand Prix on Friday aboard the 11year old Hanoverian mare Blue Hors Quitana (by Quantensprung x Desperados). She scored 69.744 % and edged out country mate Thea Bech on the 17-year old KWPN gelding Dionisos (by Spielberg x Sir Sinclair) with 68.846 %. In the Kur to Music Bech aced the class with 78.100% and Ludvigsen was the runner-up with a fraction less, 78.060%.
For Bech and Dionisis Amsterdal was their first competition in six months after the 2024 European Under 25 Championships in St. Margareten, where she finished fifth in the Kur.
"Dionisos is such a show man! When he hears his music, he always goes all in and it´s just such a pleasure to ride him. We´ve been partners for nine years now and he has given me everything," said the 22-year old Thea. Bech is based in Holland and trains with Joyce van Rooijen-Heuitink.
