On 25 - 28 September 2025 the "Covalliero Dressage Days" CDI will take place at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen and it will be one of the last international outdoor shows in Germany of the year.
The event has a packed programme with top-class competitors and participants from 27 nations.
Prominent Starting Field in the Grand Prix
The demand to compete at this September CDI has been incredibly high and with entries flooding in, the Kasselmann family adapted its programme to fit in two Grand Prix tours at 3* mevem.
The Freestyle tour will have the Grand Prix Kur under floodlights on Friday evening and the Grand Prix Special on Saturday. The attendance for both tours is particularly strong. The participants include prominent names such as the two German European team champions Katharina Hemmer and Frederic Wandres, as well as Raphael Netz.
"Slaide is only ten years old and was well placed in last year's Louisdor Cup Final in Frankfurt. After this euphoria, I went to an international show at the beginning of the year, but it turned out to be a little too early. So we competed in a few national show first. Now I feel ready to tackle an international competition at the end of the outdoor season, and Hagen is very convenient. It's a great show with excellent conditions for the horses. Last year, Slaide felt very comfortable in Hagen in the Louisdor Cup qualifier, which is why I chose this show again."
Olympic Flair
Swedish Olympian Therese Nilshagen (SWE) is working on her break-through with new rising star Navarro, while Australian Lyndal Oatley (AUS) will make her CDI debut on Forever Young HRH. The field is full of Olympians with Laura Tomlinson (GBR), Victoria Max-Theurer (AUT), Stefan Lehfellner (AUT), and Anabel Balkenhol (GER) entered.
Danish World Championship team gold medal winner Daniel Bachmann Andersen (DEN) is back with two Grand Prix horses: Flash Gordon and Diva Pilekaer.
Packed Programme
In addition to the Grand Tour, the programme also includes an international one-star tour as well as classes for young riders, juniors, ponies and children. There will also be an international amateur tour, giving amateurs the opportunity to showcase their skills on the big stage, as all competitions will take place in the show jumping arena at Hof Kasselmann.
Sponsored by the Liselott Schindling Foundation, these Finals feature a head-to-head battle between the eight best U25 Grand Prix riders in Germany. This event underlines the commitment to promoting young talent and is considered an important stepping stone to senior sport. A glance at the qualified participants shows that the renowned series has lost none of its significance in its 26th year: Anna Schölermann, Moritz Treffinger and Elisabeth von Wulffen won gold in the team and individual competitions at this year's U25 European Dressage Championships.
The Piaff Forderpreis final will take place on Saturday evening under floodlights, in which the finalists will have to ride the classic Grand Prix test.
