Canadian Grand Prix rider Tom Dvorak has received the ride on the Oldenburg licensed stallion Feinrich and premiered him in the national ring at the 2026 Global Dressage Festival.
Tom Dvorak
Dvorak represented Canada at the 1998 World Cup Final on Clearly Canadian and at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio on Beaumarchais.
Most recently he has been competing internationally with small tour horse Jeriko IR (by Sir Donnerhall x Wellington) and Grand Prix horse Cyrus (by Contucci x Cor Noir) up until 2024.
Feinrich
Tom Dvorak premiered Feinrich, a 2013 born Oldenburg stallion by Furst Heinrich out of the legendary Gesina (by Sir Donnerhall x Don Schufro x Sandro). He is bred by Paul Schockemöhle. Feinrich was the champion of the 2015 Mecklenburg Stallion Licensing but hardly competed in Germany.
In 2022 he sold to David Burke and moved to Pangea Farm in Canada. For three years all was quiet around Feinrich, who stood at stud.
Match with Dvorak
This was until Feinrich made his national show debut in Canada at the Caledon Dressage Summer Final in September 2025. Under Tom Dvorak he won the Prix St Georges and Test of Choice class.
"Tom started riding Feinrich approximately one year ago," owner David Burke told Eurodressage. "First as a potential 90-day trial as agree by both of us. Within a few days Tom was very excited in Feinrich, his quality, the quality of his gaits, his willingness to work and his international potential as a top level horse."

"I have known Tom for many many years as my horses used to compete against him in Canada and the US," said Burke. "I always has the most respect for the care and professionalism that Tom and all his team showed when dealing with the horses in his charge as well as the owners and other clients and students. Always treated everyone with the utmost respect and a very calm way of dealing with any situation. Tom was very supportive with everyone, including but not limited to his own group but all the other competitors, show officials, etc."
Burke also stands licensed stallions Vilancio and Danneborg, but they are not in sport, just breeding.
Florida Winters
Dvorak took the stallion to Wellington, Florida, for the winter and presented him the first time at the end of February in the Prix St Georges (68.235%) and in a test of choice (71.324%). Two weeks later he rode him again in the national ring for two Inter I tests, scoring 68.529% and 75.441%.

Burke hopes that in future years the pair can be "a valuable member of future Canadian Team rider-horse combination, with the ability to represent Canada in top international competition with class, dignity, and integrity; propelling Canada always forward in the incredible sport of dressage."
Dvorak has received coaching from German horse dealer Viola Abrahams.
"Myself, Tom and Feinrich so appreciate Viola's dedicated professional work and insight in the continued Training of Feinrich," Burke stated. "As they say it takes a village of dedicated professional people to make one shine in the ring for 7 minutes."
