After winning the licensing in 2023, Toto Pacha now also became the high scorer of the NRPS Stallion Performance Testing which concluded in Lunteren, The Netherlands, on 13 January 2024.
Fourteen dressage stallions passed the testing. Only five of them came directly from the 2023 NRPS Licensing.
The rising 4-year old KWPN bred Toto Pacha (by Toto Jr. x Charmeur) was the high scorer in the lot with a total of 90.33 points. Bred by Kuwaiti Fajer Al Sabah and originally named Pacha as he is KWPN registered, the stallion is owned by the breeder in partnership with Daniel Mosterdijk. He scored 9.5 for walk and trot, 9 for canter, rideability, athleticism, ability to collect and 8.5 for self carriage, willingness to perform and obedience.
He was a late entry to the NRPS performance test, entering the testing on 6 January with a presentation under saddle by Emma van den Hooven, after missing out one of the three observation moments. Interestingly, Toto Pacha was rejected in the first phase for the 2023 KWPN Stallion Licensing, held in December 2022.
Two stallions scored 88,33 points: the rising 6-year old Niro's Enjoy (by De Niro x Lord Leatherdale), bred and owned by Van Olst Horses, as well as the rising 6-year old I-Nachtwacht in ’t Veld (by Incognito x Everdale, bred by H. & L. van de Bighelaar, and co-owned by the breeders in partnership with Joop van Uytert. The latter finally got a breeding licensing after failing to complete a performance test with KWPN.
In the dressage pony division, the best scorer was Geronimo Taonga (by Golden West x FS Don’t Worry, bred by Willeke Bos) who scored 88,67 points.
