The Swedish Equestrian Federation has appointed Anette Svanberg the new national pony team trainer. She will begin her job on 1 January 2021.

Svanberg is replacing out going team trainer Pytt Hamberg, who served as pony team captain from 2017 till 2019. Hamberg in her turn had succeeded Bobo Lundberg, who served from 2012 till the end of 2016.

"She has extensive experience in dressage, as a rider, teal leader and mother of the dressage sisters Amanda and Klara," the Swedish Federation stated. Both her daughters will move to the senior division in 2021 so there is no conflict of interest.

Anette Svanberg competed with Urbina for Sweden at the 1985 European Pony Championships in Rotterdam. Professionally she works as the pedagogical manager at a primary school but always kept her passion for horses, as a coach as well as through her own daughters.

She coached the Willand pony team for six years. Svanberg will not fit into the Swedish federation youth team structure alongside the other youth team captain and coaches.
