The Westfalian breed society released the foal and covering statistics in its March 2021 issue of Reiter + Pferde.

Vivat Rex
The 6-year old Oldenburg Vivat Rex (by Vivaldi x Samarant x Rubinstein) is bred by Heinrich Gerriets.
The stallion was approved for the Oldenburg society in a private licensing in July 2018. In 2020 he was approved for the Westfalian society.
A few months later owner Olga Pees of Acle Horse GmbH sold the 1.77 m standing liver chestnut stallion at the 2018 Oldenburg Elite auction for 200,000 euro. A Dutchman bought the stallion at auction, but according to Horses.nl this person turned out to bid for Andreas Helgstrand.
However, Helgstrand returned the stallion and Vivat Rex ended up moving to the Rüscher-Konermann stallion station in the spring of 2019. He is listed as owned by OPS-Horse and with the breeding rights belonging to Rüscher-Konermann.
In April 2019 Vivat Rex did his stallion sport test in Munster but after an underwhelming performance, he was withdrawn from the testing. In July he qualified for the Bundeschampionate with an 8.1 score under Stefanie Ahlert. In September 2019 he did the 14-day suitability test and scored 8.21 for dressage and 7.0 for jumping to finish on a 7.8 total.
Although Vivat Rex' path for a full breeding licence was a bumpy road, the stallion enjoyed much popularity amongst Westfalian breeders and he covered 110 Westfalian mares in 2020.
