International Grand Prix dressage rider Joanna Robinson expands her horizons as together with husband Gavin Robinson they take over the former Platinum Stable, in Riel, The Netherlands.
Branching out from Spain
The family Robinson already established a rehabilitation and dressage stable “VIX Equestrian” in Spain and is now looking to be closer to the “mecca” of the equestrian world.
Spain will not be forgotten as Joanna looks to bring a bunch of quality Iberian horses to the Netherlands. Along her own dressage career Joanna wishes to focus more on the entrepreneurial side.
Joanna Robinson
The 31-year old Joanna Gadd Robinson grew up around animals with her mom's small veterinary practice based in the family home. She started riding in Finland as a 12-year old and spent her teenage years training in Germany.
As a young adult she moved to England, where she started a family. The love of horses never disappeared and after welcoming her two children, she returned to professional riding in October 2017.
The Robinson family established VIX Equestrian at Finca Falcon in Malaga, Spain.
Robinson represented Finland at the 2018 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Ermelo.
Joanna has trained with German Olympian Ulla Salzgeber and now works with Danish coach Morten Thomsen. She celebrated her international Grand Prix debut in 2019.
Last year Robinson and San Coco di Amore (by San Amour x Cheenook x Carprilli) posted seventy percentage marks in their show debut as a new combination.
VIX Equestrian
In the newly acquired premises in Riel, The Netherlands, VIX Equestrian will offer exclusive dressage training for riders of all levels on highly educated Iberian horses in the future. A whole package for the keen equestrians is being set up, with pilates studio, and equestrian boutique on site.
“We are thrilled to be launching this new concept for riders. We look forward to offer special experiences in these lovely surroundings,” said Joanna Robinson, owner of VIX Equestrian.
