Next Round of 2022 Aachen Dressage Days on 12 - 13 June with 21 Nations Represented

The next round of 2022 Aachen Dressage Days CDI 3*, hosted this year at the by proxy location at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen a T.W., is coming up on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 June 2022. 

The first round of the 2022 Aachen Dressage Days took place on 19 – 20 May 2022 and was considered a resounding success with Norwegian Isabel Freese securing her World Championship ticket on Oldenburg stallion Total Hope and British Olympian Laura Tomlinson winning the Grand Prix Special on rising star Fallatijn. 

21 Nations Represented

For the June round of the CDI 3* a stellar field of competitors from no less than 21 different nations has entered to compete at this "mini Aachen".

The field boasts several Olympians and World Championship candidates who are aiming to achieve their MER score in Hagen, such as Andreas Helgstrand on Jovian and Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Zippo I.M.

Riders from nations such as Armenia, Australia, Boznia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, India; New Zealand, Palestine, and Thailand will ride alongside competitors from dressage countries in Europe and the United States.

Programme Additions Due to High Demand

Due to the high demand for entries at the Aachen Dressage Days in June, the programme has been adapted to meet the requests of the riders. 

The competition will began one day earlier, on Sunday 12 June 2022, with the horse inspection as on the first day of competition - Monday 13 June 2022 - a Grand Prix class with 40 starters is planned, alongside medium tour with the Intermediaire A on Monday and the Intermediaire II on Tuesday 14 June 2022.

"We are absolutely thrilled that we now have riders from 21 nations for the Grand Prix alone and with some really interesting pairs from all over the world," said show organizer Renate Dahmen. "It truly makes up happy to see how many riders want to compete in our show and of course we changed the programme to make the experience even better for them, so that each rider gets the most out of his CDI at Hof Kasselmann."

The Aachen Dressage Days on 13 - 14 June 2022 will feature two 1* small tour tests, two medium tour tests, and two 3* big tour classes. The ground jury for this show consists of Ulrike Nivelle, Evi Eisenhardt, Jean-Michel Roudier, Frederico Pinteus, Francis Verbeek, Vittorio Barba, and Patricia Wolters (View FEI schedule).  The event is open to the public.
