Canadian Under 25 rider has acquired the 7-year old Danish warmblood Pilegårdens Dreamer as a future FEI hopeful.
Pilegårdens Dreamer is a Danish warmblood by Dream Boy out of Dior (by De Noir). He is bred by Begitte Skov Larsen.
Dreamer has only been very lightly competed in Denmark and began his show career at the age of 6 in the summer of 2021. He was first presented by Helene Brinck at two shows, one in July and one in August 2021, before Lone Bang Larsen took over the ride and presented him once a Danish young horse championship qualifier on 5 September 2021 where he scored 80.8%.
The bay moved to Helgstrand Dressage to be sold and under Eric Guardia Martinez (ESP) he was in the running for Danish team selection for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships, but his name did not end up on the final team list. The Danish team was announced round the time Dreamer sold to Canada.
Camille Carier Bergeron is an international Under 25 rider who is based in Quebec. She spent her summer searching for new horses in Europe and already sourced the Grand Prix mare Finnlanderin in The Netherlands round the same time her eye fell on Dreamer.
Bergeron was the 2014 North American Young Riders Champion and began competing in the Under 25 division in 2019. Her top horses are Sound of Silence and Acoeur. The rider aims to make her way into the senior Grand Prix division.
"Dreamer and I did our first show together last week at Beaulieu Dressage Classic (19 - 21 August 2022)," Camille wrote. "I have been riding him for only 1 month so we are still getting to know one another, but I’m just thrilled with the feeling he gave me ! I think this horse has so much potential for the future and I can’t wait to develop him to his full capabilities."
Camille is the 2022 Brosda Olympic bursary recipient and trains with Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu.
