On the eve of the 2022 Hanoverian Autumn Elite Auction in Verden (GER), the auction horses and their guests in the sold-out Niedersachsenhalle brought 100 years of Verband’s history to life.

Hendrik Schäfer, Köchingen, was awarded the Hans Joachim Köhler Prize as the most successful auction exhibitor of the past years.

Ingrid Klimke's German World Dressage Championship team horse Franziskus was celebrated for winning team bronze at the 2022 World Championships in Herning and he got bestowed with the FRH suffix

Franziskus (by Fidertanz/Alabaster) is bred by Elisabeth Albers and owned by Wilhelm Holkenbrink.  The licensed stallion proved himself in sport and also his offspring is standing out. His son Final Dream (breeder: Karin Storkamp) won the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old dressage horses with rider Kira Goerens-Ripphoff, and also received the suffix at the gala evening. Offspring Highlight (by His Highness x Rodgau - breeder: Karl-Werner and Heike Heimrich) was the horse which carried Chiara Congia and Justin van Gerven to the World Vaulting Champion title in Pas-de-Deux.

FRH

FRH stands for the Promotion of Equestrian Sport on Hanoverian Horses (Verein zur Förderung des Reitsports auf hannoverschen Pferden).  The FRH society was founded in 1985 and aims to spot talented young horses and riders, bring them together and support their career to the top.

Many Hanoverian horses have been bestowed with the FRH sponsorship. While in the beginning the FRH was a more exclusive title reserved for Grand Prix horses, most recently any successful Hanoverian in sport gets decorated with the FRH suffix, from young horses to those in youth classes and up to Grand Prix.

FRH recipients are, for instance, Benetton Dream (Tinne Vilhelmson), Burlington (Charlott Maria Schurmann), D'Agostino (Fabienne Lutkemeier), Dablino (Anabel Balkenhol), Damsey (Helen Langehanenberg), Del Magico (Stephanie Dearing), Desperados (Kristine Sprehe), Don Johnson (Isabel Werth), Rassolini (Jan Ebeling), Showtime (Dorothee Schneider) and Wonder (Kathleen Keller), amongst many others.
