British team pony Hilkens Showgirl has been retained for Great Britain. The two-time European Championship will continue its sport career under British pony rider Fi Grabham.

Hilkens Showgirl is a 9-year old Westfalian mare by Dreidimensional x FS Champion de Luxe x Alexander. She is bred by Sabine Meiners in Germany.

Great Britain

Showgirl sold to the U.K. as a young pony and was first competed by Jayne Turney in 2018 and in 2019 the pair won the British Young Pony Championships.

Ruby Hughes

In 2020 Ruby Hughes, daughter of British Grand Prix team rider Gareth Hughes, took over the ride

Hughes and Showgirl made their international show debut at the CDI Wellington Heckfield in May 2021. They represented Great Britain as an individual rider at the 2021 European Pony Championships in Strzegom, where they finished 19th in the individual test. The pair was fourth at the 2021 British U21 Championships which combined all youth categories into one ranking.

In 2022 they competed at the CDI's in Lier and Wellington before heading to the 2022 European Pony Championships, where they were 28th in the individual test with 69.865%. They were fifth at the 2022 British Pony Championships

Fi Grabham

Showgirl's owner, Shirley Rixon, has now sold an ownership share to the Grabham family and and kept a share for herself in order to follow and enjoy the pony on its journey representing Team GB.

The 15-year old Fi Grabham will be going into her last year on ponies in 2023. She has been competing at international pony level since 2021 with the 11-year old German Riding Pony Zothen's Dance Lady (by Nemax x Coelenhage's Let's Be The Best).
