Dutchman, Ireland's 2022 World Championship team horse under Alex Baker, has been sold to Germany. He will continue his sport carer under aspiring German Under 25 rider Emma Lienert.

Dutchman is a 14-year old KWPN gelding by Jazz out of Imagine (by Fantast x Flying Flag xx). He is bred by J. Muilwijk in The Netherlands.

From Young Riders to Grand Prix

The bay gelding became the career starting horse for Irish Alex Baker.

The pair made its international show debut in 2017 at Young Riders level at the CDIO Compiegne

Trained by Anna Ross in Great Britain, Bake and Dutchman premiered at international Grand Prix level in February 2020 in Le Mans and competed at CDI's in Keysoe, Wellington Heckfield, and Hartpury. They clinched a team selection for the 2021 European Championships in Hagen.

In 2022 their partnership culminated after starts in Keysoe, Wellington and Hartpury when they were selected on the Irish team for the 2022 World Championships in Herning, where they posted a 67.531% in the Grand Prix. In October 2022, they finished their career on a 70.425% freestyle score at the CDI Le Mans

Lienert on Dutchman
Dutchman arrived in The Netherlands a week ago after he sold in the U.K. with AC horses finding the match for the 19-year old German young rider Emma Caecilia Lienert.

Dutchman will be an experienced schoolmaster for Emma to make the transition into the Under 25 Grand Prix division.

The talented Lienert began her international dressage career in the Children division in 2017 aboard Denario (by Denaro x Fairplay). In 2018 she moved into the junior division with Lady Carnaby (by Lord Carnaby x Ehrentusch) and in 2021 Barack Obama (by Jazz x Abantos) and FS Las Vegas (by Lord Loxley x Louis Le Bon) joined the ranks. This year Emma has been campaigning FS Las Vegas and Feedback (by Fidertanz x Sandro Hit) at international young riders' level.
