Dutch young professional Kimberly Pap has parted ways with her 2021 WCYH ride Jersey. The 9-year old KWPN stallion has been sold to the U.S.A.

Jersey is a 2014 born Dutch warmblood by Vivaldi out of Kebalia (by Ferro x Exkurs xx). He is bred by Mr. van de Goor.

Jerez

Originally named Jerez, the bay stallion was licensed at the 2017 KWPN Stallion Licensing. He was presented there by the Wetzelaer family.

He became the price highlight of the KWPN select sale, selling for 160,000 euro. It was then announced that both Eric Koele and Eugene Reesink had bought the stallion, but on the FEI website Koele has been named as sole owner of the horse.

At the 2017 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Test, jersey scored 82.5 points and finished sixth out of seven participating stallions.

Jersey was competed on the 2018-2019 KWPN stallion competition circuit by Kimberly Pap.

However, it took until 2021 for the black to really stand out in sport when he got nominated on the Dutch team for the World Young Horse Championships in Verden. There he placed 19th in the 7-year old preliminary round with 72.268%, won the consolation finals with 76.577% and finished 14th in the finals with 75.950%.

Verden was Jersey's first and only international show, so far.

The pair most recently participated in the VHO Trophy finals (an exhibition class at small tour level) at the 2023 KWPN Stallion Licensing.

U.S.A.

Owner Eric Koele announced that the stallion has been sold to the U.S.A.

The name of the new rider was initially not disclosed, but the horse moved to Sonnenberg Farm.

Horsesdaily disclosed that Dan & Gina Ruediger bought the horse. Sabine Schut-Kery will produce him for ultimately Gina to ride.
