WCYH Medal Winner Kipling Premiers Under Selina Solberg Vittinghus

Kipling, the 2017 WCYH bronze medal winner under owner Anne Troensegaard, has been premiered by Danish Selina Solberg Vittinghus at the national show in Roskilde on 27 August 2023.

Kipling is a 2010 born Trakehner by Hofrat out of Kylie (by Hohenstein), bred and owned by Peter Christensen.

Anne Troensegaard

The black Trakehner was developed from young horse level to Grand Prix by Anne Troensegaard.

They won bronze at the 2014 Danish Young Horse Championships and two years later they first represented Denmark at the 2016 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they 6th in the finals They went on to collect silver at the 2016 Danish Young Horse Championships. In 2017 they returned to Ermelo and got bronze in the 7-year old finals, while at the 2017 Danish Young Horse Championships they captured a second silver.

Kipling did not compete at all in 2018 and was rumoured to have been sold to the U.S.A, but at the end of 2018 the horse was with Troensegaard again.

t took Anne two years to return to the CDI ring with him, making a come back in Flyinge at small tour level in September 2019, winning the Inter I Kur. The pair did not show internationally in 2020 and returned to the arena in July 2021 with their first international Grand Prix in Ypaka, Finland, where they finished 6th with 67.674%. In 2022 they won the CDI Le Mans Kur to Music with 76.250% and then went to the CDI Hagen in April 2022, where they scored 72.870% in the Grand Prix. It was Kipling's last international so far.

The horse was sidelined due to an injury and Troensegaard told Eurodressage he had twisted his ankle.

Selina Solberg Vittinghus

Kipling returned to fitness and made his come back to the competition ring under Selina Solberg Vittinghus. They posted 70.132 % and placed second in the Intermediaire II.

Solberg took to Instagram and stated, "I have taken over the reins of a very special horse from a dear friend and a woman I admire a lot. Today Kipling and I had our competition debut. The partnership is still very new and that showed, but gosh what an incredible horse he is."
